Product Review: Every Other Thursday

@mikemonnette It’s been cool to watch @everyotherthursday progress as a brand over the last few years – I stumbled across the instagram page during covid when it was just a moodboard with just a few thousand followers, and it’s come a long way since. The elevation of product and expansion into new categories continues to impress, and these latest pieces are no exception #mensstyle #classicstyle #mensfashion #everyotherthursday #mensstyleguide #timelessstyle #menswear ♬ How Long Do I Have to Wait for You? - Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings

A package from Every Other Thursday just landed on my doorstep, and I figured I’d share some first impressions. I picked up a pair of their fatigue pants and a cotton fisherman sweater—and right out of the box, I’m a fan of both.

The fatigue pants come standard with a 32" inseam, so I gave them a quick hem and they’re good to go. The proportions felt a little overwhelming at first, but once I paired the pants and sweater together, something clicked. The outfit suddenly made sense. These pieces definitely require an embrace of a looser, more relaxed fit, but when styled right, they look effortlessly cool.

Both fabrics surprised me in a good way. The pants are made from a 100% cotton sateen that’s lighter and more breathable than I expected—great for warm weather. The sweater, on the other hand, is loosely spun with a ton of drape and rich visual texture. It feels substantial but soft.

Sizing-wise, a heads-up: in most brands I wear a short medium, and the small sweater still fits oversized. I might even exchange for an extra small to get closer to the cropped look shown on their site.

The pants are a lock for my summer rotation—no question. I’m still playing around with how to style the sweater with shorts, but it’s going to shine on cooler days and foggy mornings.

It’s been cool watching Every Other Thursday evolve. I remember stumbling on their Instagram during the early pandemic days, back when it was just a moodboard with a few thousand followers. Since then, the product has really leveled up. They’ve expanded into new categories, and these latest pieces are some of their best yet.
