Start with the foundation: modal underwear.
If you know, you know. If you don’t—just trust me. Modal is soft, breathable, and moisture-wicking. It's the best defense against swamp ass when you're hustling through terminals or sitting on the tarmac in a metal tube with questionable AC.
Next up: wide-leg cotton pants.
Ever since my frontal lobe finished developing, I’ve retired shorts on planes. Something about bare thighs on pleather seats (that have seen a lot) just doesn’t sit right. Wide-leg cotton pants give you the airflow you need while keeping it civilized.
On top, go flowy.
A lightweight, relaxed-fit shirt in a lyocell blend is ideal. It's breathable, soft, and has that slightly drapey look that reads “put together” without trying too hard. Think easy movement and max airflow.
Sneakers over sandals.
Sandals on a cross-country flight feel... exposed. A solid pair of sneakers keeps it comfortable and doesn’t raise any eyebrows at TSA.
Keep your accessories simple.
Think: easy-off shoes, and minimal jewelry—anything to streamline the security check.
And finally, just a touch of cologne.
You’re not trying to turn the cabin into a fragrance counter, but smelling fresh never hurts—especially in tight quarters.
