Straight Fit Chino Pants for Shorter Men

The cut/fit of the 31x25 chinos is too wide at the hips and thighs. The fabric balloons out, giving you a pear shape and child-bearing hips. It was pretty comical. I'm 5'6" and slim. I wanted the shorter inseam to wear as cropped pants, but it seems this cut of chino is for body type that has a more robust trunk/lower body or those who want the 25" inseam to reach their ankles/top of shoes.

I order the blue chinos in a 34" waist and it fit great. I love the straight leg and the overall look. I also ordered the olive in 34" waist, but it was a bit tight. Customer service was top notch as Mike apologized and even covered next day shipping on the 36" waist.

Overall, great pants. I have the jeans and the blue chinos in 34", if you order the olive color then get a size up would be my advice.

Difficult to find pants with a 25” inseam. Would like to see dress pants with the same inseam length.

I would normally wear an athletic fit. I got the straight fit because slim was out of stock, but I'm really glad I did. Straight is on the verge of being tight for someone with thicker legs; slim would be a no-go.

I'm 5'6 and followed the guide on a 26.5 inseam. Length if perfect. I was looking forward to the short-guy specific stuff and that mostly hits. Leg tapers appropriately. Pockets are in the right place. Rise is mostly good. Just get slight v-bunching given that it's not an athletic fit.

Build quality is definitely a cut above competition. Even with some elastic mixed in, the fabric feels sturdy and thicker than other chinos. Seems to be a a horn button
and YKK zipper.

Overall, at this price, quite a good deal and I'd probably buy pants from them again. I'd love it if they added an athletic fit. Eager to see what else they add.

I have 4 pairs of these, all are high quality and perfect fit. Would love to have more colors in future.
